We are looking to recruit a Librarian to be the face of reading at St Mary’s and take a leading role in planning and organising a school resource centre which supports the whole school reading priority. The ability to form strong positive, professional working relationships with pupils and staff colleagues is crucial in this role. The ideal candidate would have a relevant qualification and/or previous experience working with children, although training will be given for the right person.Â

The key responsibilities of this role include coordinating and allocating daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned staff absence. This involves a 7.15am start each day. Line management of the Cover Supervisor team. Supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus of the role will be to maintain good order and to keep students on task ensuring they progress through the planned curriculum.

St John Plessington Catholic College are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic individual to promote physical health and emotional wellbeing for students and staff, lead on first aid and provide first aid duties. The successful candidate will provide support and supervision for mental health and provide a high standard of effective, person-centred and evidence based assessment of wellbeing. Daily support will be required to oversee the daily management of students’ medical needs, such as the administering of medication and overseeing of medical needs.
